Charlie from First Responders Cigar Company is their Connecticut, but this is not some paper-thin morning cigar with training wheels. Built by a company started by a couple of former Delta operators, Charlie keeps the FRCC attitude intact while giving smokers a smoother, cleaner profile. Wrapped in Ecuadorian Connecticut with Nicaraguan binder and filler, Charlie brings the classic creamy Connecticut feel with a little more grit behind it. Expect cedar, cream, toasted bread, light pepper, and a clean tobacco sweetness. It stays smooth and easygoing, but it has enough body to remind you it still belongs in this lineup.

War Wagon's Take. Charlie is the cigar we'd hand to someone who says they want something smooth, but we don't want to bore them to death. It's approachable, clean, and easy to smoke, but it has more backbone than a lot of Connecticut cigars sitting on shelves. This is a strong pick for newer smokers, morning smokes, or anyone who wants a lighter cigar that still has some fight in it. Mild enough to be easy. Solid enough to not feel like filler.
